How old must my child be in order to be tested?
I can test children ages 2 and up (as well as adults up to age 90.)
May I bring other children with me to the test?
Yes, but no children may remain in the same room as the child being tested as they may be a distraction. I have a play area available with many toys and books.
Do you report scores to my local school district?
No. I do not report your child’s scores to anyone but you. I keep all test scores strictly confidential. I will sign a copy of the test scores which you may choose to mail to your local school district. The W-J III Tests of Achievement meets the requirements of a nationally normed, standardized test as set forth in the Ohio Administrative Code.
Will testing before the end of the school year negatively affect my child’s scores?
No. The test results are calculated according to the time of year the test is taken.
How can I help my child prepare for the test?
Be sure he or she is well rested, adequately fed, and try to maintain a relaxed atmosphere the day of the test.
What should I bring?
I will provide all materials your child needs for the test.
